Fernando Valladares es profesor investigador del Consejo Español de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) y profesor asociado de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid). Lidera investigaciones sobre los impactos del cambio climático en interacción con otros cambios ambientales y es responsable de diversas iniciativas para comunicar las bases científicas de los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible (ODS). Su investigación involucra términos como plasticidad fenotípica, interacciones fenotipo-genotipo y ecofisiología vegetal.
